Quantitative Researcher Analysts play a key role in this mission by developing next-generation models and trading approaches for a range of investment strategies. As an intern, you’ll get to challenge the impossible in research through an 4 to 6-week program that will allow you to collaborate and connect with senior team members. In addition, you’ll get the opportunity to network and socialize with peers throughout the internship.

Your Objectives

• Conceptualize valuation strategies, develop, and continuously improve upon mathematical models, and help translate algorithms into code
• Back test and implement trading models and signals in a live trading environment
• Use unconventional data sources to drive innovation
• Conduct research and statistical analysis to build and refine monetization systems for trading signals

Your Skills & Talents

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, or another highly quantitative field
• Strong knowledge of probability and statistics (e.g., machine learning, time-series analysis, pattern recognition, NLP)
• Prior experience working in a data-driven research environment
• Experience with translating mathematical models and algorithms into code (Python, R or C++)
• Independent research experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

We are seeking a motivated and talented Data Science Intern to join our team for a four-week internship. During this internship, you will work on an exciting project to develop a Stock Prediction App using various data science and machine learning tools. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and enhance your skills in a real-world setting.

Your Objectives

• Week 1: Project Setup and Basic Implementation
  
  • Set up the development environment, including Python, virtual environments, and necessary libraries.
  • Understand project requirements and gather resources.
  • Implement basic functionalities to fetch and display stock data using the yfinance library.
  • Document the initial project setup and data fetching process.

• Week 2: Stock Prediction and Data Visualization
  
  • Implement stock prediction using the prophet library.
  • Create interactive visualizations for stock data and predictions using plotly.
  • Enhance data fetching with caching to improve performance.
  • Document the stock prediction and data visualization process.
• Week 3: Trending Stocks and User Interaction
  
  • Implement a feature to fetch and display trending stocks.
  • Allow users to select stocks from trending stocks or enter a ticker symbol manually.
  • Integrate Yahoo Finance links for selected stocks.
  • Enhance the UI for a better user experience.
  • Document the trending stocks and user interaction features.
• Week 4: ChatGPT Integration and Final Touches
  
  • Integrate OpenAI's ChatGPT to provide a chat interface for user queries.
  • Test the app thoroughly and fix any bugs.
  • Optimize the code for better performance.
  • Complete the project documentation, including a user guide and technical documentation.
  • Prepare a final presentation showcasing the project.

Your Skills & Talents

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Python programming.
• Familiarity with data science libraries such as pandas, numpy, and matplotlib.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts.
• Experience with Streamlit for building interactive web applications.
• Knowledge of stock market concepts and financial data.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.

As an Analyst on the M&A product team, you will rapidly assume significant responsibilities related to pitching as well as executing advisory transactions for a broad group of private and public clients across multiple industries. 

 Responsibilities will include the following:

• Assisting the execution of M&A and advisory transactions
• Preparing and delivering client presentations
• Analyzing business plans and valuing companies using a variety of methodologies
• Drafting offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses
• Participating in due diligence and drafting sessions
• Preparing the delivery of internal deal memos

These responsibilities afford direct and active interaction with clients (CEOs, CFOs, etc.) where Analysts are expected to attend and participate in client meetings and contribute to building and maintaining client relationships. You will work on several projects simultaneously with teams of professionals, both within the group and across the firm, including Managing Directors, Vice Presidents and Associates, collaborating to develop and execute solutions to meet client needs.

Your Skills & Talents

• Investment banking experience, ideally in an M&A product team or a coverage team with significant exposure to M&A execution
• Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
• Resourceful self-starter, able to work autonomously and as team player
