Quantitative Research Analyst – 2025 Intern (New York)

Job Description

Our mission is to be the most successful investment team in the world. 


Quantitative Researcher Analysts play a key role in this mission by developing next-generation models and trading approaches for a range of investment strategies. You’ll get to challenge the impossible in quantitative research by applying sophisticated and complex statistical techniques to financial markets, some of the most complex data sets in the world.


As an intern, you’ll get to challenge the impossible in research through an 4 to 6-week program that will allow you to collaborate and connect with senior team members. In addition, you’ll get the opportunity to network and socialize with peers throughout the internship.


Your Objectives

  • Conceptualize valuation strategies, develop, and continuously improve upon mathematical models, and help translate algorithms into code
  • Back test and implement trading models and signals in a live trading environment
  • Use unconventional data sources to drive innovation
  • Conduct research and statistical analysis to build and refine monetization systems for trading signals


Your Skills & Talents

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, or another highly quantitative field

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and talented Data Science Intern to join our team for a four-week internship. During this internship, you will work on an exciting project to develop a Stock Prediction App using various data science and machine learning tools. Your Skills & Talents

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Investment banking Analyst (M&A) – 2025 Intern (New York)

Job Description

As an Analyst on the M&A product team, you will rapidly assume significant responsibilities related to pitching as well as executing advisory transactions for a broad group of private and public clients across multiple industries. 


 Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Assisting the execution of M&A and advisory transactions
  • Preparing and delivering client presentations
  • Analyzing business plans and valuing companies using a variety of methodologies
  • Drafting offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses
  • Participating in due diligence and drafting sessions

Options Trading Analyst – 2025 Intern (New York)

Job Description

APEX is seeking intellectually curious and highly driven interns to join our Derivatives and Options Strategy team. This internship provides a hands-on introduction to options trading, strategy development, and real-time market simulation. Interns will actively participate in the construction and testing of option-based trading strategies, perform payoff and risk analysis, and contribute to daily simulated trading aligned with market conditions.



 Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Develop a solid understanding of options fundamentals, including call/put mechanics, contract structures, and risk exposures
  • Assist in the design and evaluation of options strategies, such as straddles, strangles, covered calls, and protective puts
  • Create payoff diagrams and breakeven analyses for single- and multi-leg strategies using Excel
  • Participate in simulated options trading and maintain a daily trading log to analyze decision-making and outcomes
  • Conduct weekly PnL performance reviews, identify pattern behaviors, and assess strategy adjustments
  • Analyze VIX (Volatility Index) data to inform volatility-sensitive trading decisions

Job Description

APEX is looking for intellectually curious, detail-oriented interns to join our Risk Analytics team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to enterprise risk management strategies, regulatory frameworks, and quantitative modeling practices used in real-world financial and operational risk environments. Interns will work directly on cross-functional projects to support internal risk assessments, build quantitative models, and enhance risk reporting dashboards for strategic decision-making.

  • Contribute to risk taxonomy design, identifying and categorizing key enterprise risks (e.g., market, credit, operational, compliance) across real or simulated business cases
